About Our School
On behalf of the Come Back Charter School (CBCS) staff, I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at the information contained in our School Accountability Report Card (SARC) for the 2020-21 school year. It is our hope that the information contained in this report will show you the exceptional program that we have here at our school.
CBCS provides a unique environment for adults to come back to school and achieve their high school diploma. We offer an independent study-based program that is flexible in order to accommodate the schedules of an adult student. Many students are working full time jobs and raising families, but want the opportunity to finish high school and achieve their high school diploma. Achieving a high school diploma will provide greater opportunities for students.
Along with earning their high school diploma, CBCS strives to prepare students for the workforce, college, or both. We partner with the Empower Program, which provides job training to adults 18 to 24 years of age. We are also work with Worknet to provide similar services to all students 18 and over. In addition to this, CBCS is working on incorporating more career training options. Workshops are available to provide students continued learning in career development and planning. We aim to prepare our students for job opportunities that can further their learning and abilities.
With the onset of the pandemic in the spring of the 2019-20 school year, we faced many unforeseen challenges. I would like to commend students and staff with continuing our program and maintaining our high level of commitment despite the adversity we faced. Because of the pandemic, some data was not able to be attained and those sections will not have any measures to determine our effectiveness in those areas.
We at CBCS strive to remove the barriers that have prevented our students from achieving their high school diploma. The staff works hard to build connections with our students and to empower them to keep reaching for the next level. I, along with my staff, look forward to providing each and every student with the best educational experience possible. We want to ensure each student is "nurtured, served, and led with PRIDE."
