About Our School
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be the principal at Lemoore Middle College High School (LMCHS) this school year. The opportunity that students at LMCHS have is unique to Kings County by providing students with an accelerated preparatory college education located on the West Hills Community College campus. LMCHS is a collaborative effort between Lemoore Union High School District and West Hills College Lemoore. The program is designed to provide challenging and meaningful learning experiences for students in a non-traditional high school setting on the West Hills College Lemoore campus.
Students in grades nine through twelve have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma that meets UC and CSU entrance requirements as well as take West Hills College courses which will provide them dual credit toward high school and college coursework. Both LMCHS and WHCL continue to work together to expand the opportunities that students have with concurrent enrollment. Students at LMCHS represent the values of the Lemoore Union High School District and West Hills College, Lemoore.
The most recent school years have held several key updates to LMCHS. LMCHS has been recognized as a California Distinguished school, and also recognized as a Site of Distinction by AVID. The WASC Accreditation Process and site visit were completed in the 2015-2016 school year, and LMCHS received a 6-year accreditation with a 1-day revisit in November of 2018. Our staff continues to improve our partnership with WHCL through the Service Learning courses offered on both campuses, develop students that are college and career ready by developing 21st Century Learning Skills as part of Project-Based Learning, and to offer students access to current technology as an educational tool. Our goal is to continue to provide all students with an outstanding high school experience and prepare students for their post-secondary goals.
