About Our School
We could not be more proud of the amazing contributions of our students and families this past year. We hosted over 150 special events, parent meetings, and after school programs between August and May. Over a third of these were directly influenced by our own students in some meaningful way. Greatness is made possible by the hard work and commitment of the team. Our team’s ongoing leadership and school spirit is inspiring. It further demonstrates promise for our future as a school community.
Edison Academy was honored to be awarded California Honor Roll this year, an award provided to schools that stand above others in attaining high levels of achievement and student success. This award is provided in collaboration with business leaders and establishes a high bar for performance. In addition, Edison continues to demonstrate academic excellence with above average performance in both English Language Arts and Mathematics based on California’s Smarter Balanced Assessment. Our hats are off to our teachers, parents, and students for maintaining and supporting high expectations and a commitment to learning.
We are excited to formally launch our Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) program for students in the fall. It is our goal to help empower students through a systematic, school-wide effort to instill characteristics that support academic success and social-emotional well-being. Our team has been working toward this goal for the past two years, and we are eager to see the transformation in our school as we refine our program. We encourage all parents and students to join us as we practice honesty, integrity, respect, and responsibility across school and community settings. We challenge our entire community to be all that they can be and to make a positive impact on the lives of others as we continue our journey of success.
