About Our School
Greetings Haynes Families and Friends!
On behalf of our entire school staff, I'd like to welcome all our Haynes families "Back To School" for another academic year! We are anticipating another challenging year that will be full of excellent learning opportunities. We are intent on collaborating with you on behalf of your children in the challenging year that lies ahead. We will support students in accomplishing personal learning goals designed to continue their education and achieve excellence in personal, individual endeavors. We have very high expectations for each of our students. Haynes children made great academic growth in all grade levels last year, and we intend to move forward with the push for continuous improvement this year. Richard E. Haynes Elementary School serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade. Personal leadership and scholarly behaviors are taught and emphasized so that students learn how to think critically solving real world problems, set personal goals and effectively communicate their ideas both verbally and in writing. We work collaboratively with all stakeholders to make our school a great place where students learn to be SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and RESPONSIBLE.
As the year progresses, please be sure to keep communication open with your child's teacher as we work together. The classroom teacher is your first and best contact regarding school expectations, academic progress and success at school. Visit our school website at https://www.omsd.net/Domain/20 to find information and resources to support your child’s education. This includes, but is not limited to our Student and Parent Handbook, important dates to be aware of, attendance guidelines, school calendars, schedules, meal programs, support services, behavior expectations, Parent Involvement Policy, and the Wellness Policy.
We appreciate your partnership and want to make sure that information remains open and clear between school and home so that we can work proactively with you to serve students well. We are fortunate that ALL of our teachers are highly qualified and will work confidently with your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our staff. Please feel free to contact me at 909-984-1759, if needed. Thank you in advance for your patience, understanding, and support. We are working to provide the best learning environment possible for students.
