About Our School
Arroyo School is an International Baccalaurreate (IB) World School, offering the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) for students in Transitional Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Students learn through inquiry and all grade levels have developed IB units of study which are transdisciplinary, integrating Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the areas of reading and writing and incorporating the newly adopted Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and History Social Science Standards. Students also receive instruction in CCSS Mathematics through the Eureka Math program. Arroyo School participated in an IB Program Evaluation in Fall 2018 and is proud to continue to offer an IB education for students. Family involvement is so important for students, and we invite parents and family members to participate in our meetings, workshops, and activities offered throughout the year. Specific information can be found in the monthly Principal’s newsletter and on our school website and Twitter feed, Twitter @Arroyo_OMSD. Thank you for your involvement at Arroyo School!
